Our mission
Kinscar was built to fix a problem every Cameroonian knows: buying or selling a used car is stressful, opaque, and far too easy to get scammed. Fake listings, inflated prices, forged documents it shouldn't be this hard.
Our mission is simple: make every used-car transaction in Cameroon safe, transparent, and legally sound. We do that through automated document verification, secure digital payments, and a tamper-proof Bill of Sale that protects both buyer and seller.
The problem we solve
Cameroon's used-car market moves largely through word of mouth, WhatsApp groups, and roadside lots with no standard way to verify a vehicle's ownership, check its history, or prove a sale legally happened.
The result: buyers overpay for cars with hidden defects, sellers struggle to prove ownership, and disputes with no paperwork go unresolved. Kinscar changes that.
How Kinscar works
Verified listings
Every listing on Kinscar requires a Carte Grise upload. Our system uses OCR to extract the chassis number and cross-checks it against official Cameroonian transport databases in real time. Listings that pass receive the Kinscar Verified badge usually within minutes of submission.
QR code sharing
Every verified listing gets a unique QR code the seller can print and stick on the windscreen. Buyers scan it and land directly on the verified listing no app needed, no fake links.
Secure payment & Bill of Sale
When a buyer is ready, the seller sends a one-time secure payment link. Payment is processed via MTN or Orange Mobile Money. The moment it confirms, Kinscar auto-generates a tamper-proof Bill of Sale PDF signed, timestamped, and verifiable by QR code giving both parties a legally sound record of the transaction.
Who we are
Kinscar is a Cameroonian startup founded by a team that grew up watching family and friends lose money to dishonest car deals. We built the platform we wished existed one that works for any seller in Douala, Yaoundé, Bafoussam, or anywhere else in the country.
We believe a trustworthy car market is possible in Cameroon, and we're building it one verified listing at a time.
